Graduation Project
Emotionally Intelligent
User Interface
When computer agents or robots exhibit more displays of realism–visually, linguistically,
socially, and emotionally people tend to respond in traditional social ways, i.e., as humans do to each other
About the project
Today, every industry has realised the fact that AI is the next big technology that will transform human-machine interactions. The user's emotional state of mind is still missing in the interface settings for pre-defined interaction modes. User is bound to select the most suitable yet rigid modes in any other context. As a part of the AI in UX team, the project aimed to envision the future of emotionally intelligent interfaces.

The Project Brief
In the realm of core apps, how might we enhance the user experience with emotionally as well as contextually appropriate assistance and interactions for the intended purpose at the right time.
The Process
The project started with an open brief in the area of AI in UX. I was tasked with understanding the Technological, Social, and Cultural trends of the domain, identify opportunity areas, map scenarios, needs, and next-generation concepts.
The project was research-intensive, which consequently helped me to have an unbiased mindset. During this internship I conducted close to 45 interviews in phases, gathering the needs, wants, and aspirations of the users. Understanding the user mindset and expectations. Taking into account the various ways users and technology are going to behave in the near future. We identified potential untapped areas and future opportunities that we could undertake, explore, and develop.
Given the highly confidential nature of the project and a NDA with Samsung, I am unable to share the details.
